No new theorems for a couple of weeks, I’m afraid, but I hope to resume normal service during the week of 28th September.  If you want something interesting and mathematical to read in the meantime, you might like the September issue of Plus.

Welcome to Theorem of the week!

The plan is to post something about a different theorem each week.  The format will vary (so there won’t be a proof every week, for example), but the aim is to have some interesting, readable piece to think about each week, at a level that is accessible to people who haven’t thought about maths much since school. 

I hope to persuade some other people to write about their favourite theorems too, so that it won’t just be me.  And of course anyone will be able to leave a comment, so I hope to get some useful feedback.  If you don’t understand something, have questions or just want to discuss the content a bit more, please go ahead and comment!
